The incident is believed to have occurred at 2.30pm, when a man and woman arrived at the entrance of the PM’s office in Parcel B here. They met with a voluntary police constable on duty and asked for permission to enter the PM’s office.
When their request was denied after failing to produce an official reason, the two brought out the bladed weapons and threatened the officers in charge. The man and woman then charged into Block B of the complex and went amok, smashing the windscreens of several vehicles parked there (pic). Within moments, a police MPV patrol team arrived at the scene and attempted to calm down the suspects but failed. When the couple charged at them with their weapons, police opened fire. The woman was shot in her left thigh while the man was shot in the arm. “”We are still investigating their motive for carrying out the attack,” he said. |
